Arrived in Madrid around 7 55 a.m local time, the flight was a great experience as I had not been on a plane in ten years, and the meals served were also of excellent quality. I can safely say that the Barajas airport is by far one of the better designed and constructed airports in the world from the ones I have studied. From its subterranean transport to pick up ones' baggage, to its hotel shuttle system, my travel from the airport to the hotel went as smooth as I could have hoped. So far Madrid is already one of my favorite places in the world, the only thing to fix now is to get rid of this jet lag.
